Yatta/Kwa Vonza MCA Hon. Mark Ndingo has joined Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe, Speaker Hon. Kevin Kinengo, and other members of the County Assembly for a high-level consultative forum between the County Executive and the County Assembly in Mombasa.
The strategic meeting, which runs for several days, is aimed at reviewing development progress since 2022 and realigning priorities as the county administration enters the final phase of its current term.
Governor Malombe revealed that 2,244 development projects have been implemented across the county’s 40 wards, emphasizing the need for sustained coordination between the Executive and the Assembly to drive more impactful results.
“Collaboration between our two arms of government is key. We must also strengthen communication of our development milestones so that our people at the grassroots appreciate the progress made,” said Governor Malombe.
Speaker Kinengo echoed the Governor’s sentiments, calling for closer working relations between the two arms to ensure effective governance and accelerated socio-economic growth.
The sessions will also provide a platform for county ministries to showcase their achievements, discuss challenges faced in implementation, and chart the way forward in driving Kitui’s development agenda.
Hon. Ndingo reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that Yatta/Kwa Vonza Ward benefits from the ongoing county-wide initiatives and lauded the consultative approach as a step toward inclusive and effective leadership.
