Kitui Governor Julius Malombe has called on his executive team to remain focused on delivering tangible results and securing a strong legacy as the county administration approaches the final phase of its term.
Speaking during Executive Working Consultative Sessions in Mombasa, the governor highlighted that his administration has implemented over 2,900 development projects since 2022. The projects span key sectors including water, health, agriculture, and infrastructure, with flagship initiatives such as the Kangu Kangu water pipeline, expansion of health facilities, and ongoing road construction works.
Dr. Malombe noted that the consultative sessions are aimed at reviewing performance over the past four years and consolidating achievements into a clear, verifiable scorecard. He said the meetings will also help align county leadership towards the effective delivery of final-year priorities while shaping a lasting legacy for the administration.
The county chief emphasized the need for stronger coordination among departments, strategic communication, and data-driven decision-making to navigate emerging political and economic challenges ahead of the 2027 General Election. He cautioned against the spread of misinformation, warning that it could undermine the county’s development record.
“A vision without action is merely a dream; action without vision just passes the time; but vision with action can change the world,” the governor said, underscoring the importance of disciplined execution in public service.
The sessions are being facilitated by moderators drawn from the Council of Governors, aimed at guiding discussions and strengthening strategic alignment within the county leadership.
