Residents of Kyainya in Ilika Village are set to benefit from improved sanitation following the official site handover for the construction of a public toilet at the local market.
Yatta Kwa Vonza MCA, Mark Ndingo, presided over the exercise earlier today, marking a key step toward enhancing hygiene and public health within the busy trading centre.
The project, which is funded by the County Government of Kitui, is part of ongoing efforts to upgrade essential infrastructure in local markets across the ward. It is being implemented under the leadership of Governor Julius Malombe.
Speaking during the handover, the MCA emphasized the importance of proper sanitation facilities in promoting a clean and safe business environment. He noted that the new facility will serve traders and customers alike, reducing health risks associated with poor sanitation.
