Kitui Deputy Speaker and Kyangwithya West MCA Hon. Nzioka Nzilu has joined Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe, Deputy Governor Wambua Kanani, Kitui Central MP Dr. Makali Mulu and Woman Representative Irene Kasalu for the Kitui County Prayer Day held at the KEFRI Grounds in Kitui town.
The prayer gathering was organized by the Kitui clergy under the leadership of Bishop Kituva, alongside other church leaders, who brought together political leaders, clergy and residents for prayers and reflection on the affairs of the county and the country.
During the event, the bishops made a passionate appeal to Kenyans over the 2022 General Election, saying the decision to support President William Ruto had failed to deliver the expectations of many citizens. They urged Kenyans to reflect on the country’s leadership and the direction the nation is taking as the country prepares for the 2027 General Election.
Nzilu, who is also positioning himself as an incoming Kitui Central Member of Parliament, used the occasion to join other Kitui leaders in the prayer gathering as the county continues to witness heightened political activity ahead of the 2027 elections.
