Kitui South MP Dr. Racheal Kaki Nyamai on Saturday met with officials of the Kenya Junior Secondary School Welfare Association (KJSSWA), Mutomo Branch, led by branch chairman Peter Nyamu, at her rural home.
The meeting focused on various issues affecting Junior Secondary School (JSS) teachers, with discussions centering on ways to strengthen their welfare and improve their working environment.
The association commended Dr. Nyamai for her continued efforts to support education development across Kitui South, particularly through the construction and improvement of classrooms and laboratories in schools.
Speaking during the meeting, Dr. Nyamai reaffirmed her commitment to supporting the education sector and ensuring that teachers and learners have the necessary infrastructure and conducive environment to thrive.
“I reaffirmed my commitment to supporting education and ensuring that both teachers and learners have the necessary infrastructure to thrive,” Dr. Nyamai said.
The engagement comes as stakeholders continue to call for greater support for teachers and improved learning facilities in schools across the constituency.
