Kitui Rural MP aspirant Hon. John Kisangau Mbaki on Sunday afternoon joined Kitui South MP Dr. Racheal Kaki Nyamai at Muangeni in Athi Ward during an empowerment programme for welfare groups.
The event attracted a large turnout, with residents and supporters coming out in numbers to welcome and show solidarity with their leaders. The gathering provided an opportunity for community members to discuss empowerment, development and the future of leadership in the area.
Mbaki said the strong turnout demonstrated the people’s continued interest in development-oriented leadership, noting that residents should support leaders who listen to their concerns and work to deliver tangible results.
“The message from the people of Kitui South is loud and unmistakable: development remains the strongest reason to retain Hon. Racheal Kaki as their MP,” Mbaki said.
Mbaki thanked the residents of Athi Ward for the warm reception and pledged to return to the area as he continues engaging with communities ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The Kitui Rural MP aspirant also urged residents to exercise their democratic right by choosing leaders committed to serving the interests of the people rather than relying on political slogans.
