Kitui Rural parliamentary aspirant Hon. John Kisangau Mbaki has launched a sharp attack on former Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu, urging her to stop what he termed as targeting young women leaders associated with the Kenya Kwanza administration.
Speaking during an empowerment and public engagement forum at Katutu in Kitui West, Mbaki described it as unfortunate that a seasoned politician would publicly criticize emerging female leaders. He argued that, given her political experience, Ngilu should instead be mentoring and encouraging young women aspiring to leadership rather than, in his words, “behaving like a goon” by confronting them over their political choices.
Mbaki further challenged the former governor to first question her own family’s involvement in government before criticizing other leaders for working with the Kenya Kwanza administration. He said if Ngilu opposes leaders associating with the government, she should begin by asking her daughter to leave her government position, noting that she continues to serve diligently.
The Kitui Rural MP hopeful made the remarks while attending an empowerment forum hosted by Kitui West UDA parliamentary aspirant Commissioner Benedict Muasya. The event brought together residents and local leaders for public engagement and discussions on development and community empowerment.
Mbaki thanked the residents of Katutu for their warm reception, praising their unity and commitment to progress. He said such forums are vital in strengthening community participation and fostering unity’
