Yatta Kwa Vonza MCA Hon. Mark Nding’o has welcomed President William Ruto’s ambitious Vision 2060, saying the long-term development blueprint has the potential to transform the country if well implemented and clearly communicated to Kenyans.
Speaking exclusively by phone to Mwatu FM, Nding’o said the President should take deliberate steps to explain the vision in detail so that wananchi fully understand its objectives, expected benefits, and the role they will play in achieving its goals.
The MCA noted that public awareness and civic education will be crucial in ensuring Kenyans embrace the development agenda, adding that effective communication will help build confidence and national ownership of the vision.
On the recently approved Kitui County budget, Nding’o expressed optimism that the financial plan will deliver meaningful development and improve service delivery across the county. He said the budget is designed to address key priorities that will benefit residents.
Nding’o revealed that the smooth passage of the budget was made possible through extensive consultations between the County Executive and the County Assembly. He said both arms of government chose dialogue and cooperation over confrontation for the benefit of the people of Kitui.
He commended the spirit of collaboration demonstrated during the budget-making process, saying it reflects a shared commitment to ensuring public resources are allocated efficiently to support development projects and improve the livelihoods of Kitui residents.
