Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe has once again emphasized his administration’s dedication to fostering development throughout the county, insisting that devolution should lead to real, positive changes in the lives of the residents.
While at the Nzawa Vocational Training Centre in Nguutani Ward, Governor Malombe expressed his commitment to rolling out projects in every corner of Kitui, aiming to enhance skills development and create more opportunities for the youth.
His comments came during the inauguration of a new twin workshop and a girls’ dormitory at the vocational training centre, facilities designed to enrich the learning experience and increase the institution’s capacity.
The Governor highlighted that his administration will keep investing in initiatives that directly benefit local communities, stressing the need for development to be evenly distributed across the county instead of being focused in just a few areas.
Area MCA Stephen Katana praised the County Government for its backing of the Nzawa Vocational Training Centre, pointing out that the facility was fully constructed under Governor Malombe’s leadership. Katana noted that the growth of the centre showcases the positive effects of county government investment in vocational education, which equips young people with practical skills that can lead to employment and help them forge their own economic paths.
Deputy Governor Augustine Wambua Kanani, along with several members of the Kitui County Executive Committee, were present at the commissioning ceremony, joining local leaders and residents to celebrate the launch of the new facilities.
