Kiusyani’s Transformation Gathers Pace as Huduma Centre Project Takes Shape
Kiusyani in Lower Yatta Sub-county is undergoing a major transformation, with a new Huduma Centre among the latest national government projects expected to improve access to public services in the area.
Yatta Kwa Vonza MCA Hon. Mark Nding’o said the once-marginalised Kiusyani is steadily coming of age, citing the ongoing construction of the Huduma Centre and other infrastructure projects as evidence of the area’s changing fortunes.
Nding’o spoke after visiting the ongoing Huduma Centre project, where he assessed the progress of the facility funded by the National Government.
He said Kiusyani has witnessed significant infrastructure development over the last four years, including the upgrading of the local health centre to a Level 4 facility, construction of a mortuary, Ward Administration offices, Public Works offices and MCA offices.
The MCA also cited road improvements, tarmacking, installation of street lighting and high-mast lights among the developments that have changed the face of Kiusyani.
According to Nding’o, the projects are opening up the area, improving service delivery and creating an environment for greater economic activity.
“Kiusyani is moving in the right direction,” Nding’o said, noting that the continued investment in public infrastructure would further enhance services for residents.
The Huduma Centre, once completed, is expected to bring government services closer to residents of Kiusyani and the wider Lower Yatta area, reducing the need to travel long distances to access essential public services.
