RUTO LAUNCHES TARMACKING OF 10KM KWA VONZA–KYUSYANI ROAD
Kitui South MP Dr Racheal Kaki Nyamai on Saturday joined President William Ruto at Kiliko, Kwa Vonza, for the launch of tarmacking works on the 10-kilometre Kwa Vonza–Kyusyani Road, in a move expected to improve transport and boost economic activities in the region.
The road project is expected to ease movement for residents, improve access to markets and make it easier for farmers to transport their produce. Once completed, the upgraded road will also help improve connectivity between communities and open up the area for further development.
Speaking after the launch, Dr Nyamai welcomed the project, describing it as an important step towards improving infrastructure and creating economic opportunities for the people of Kitui South and neighbouring areas.
The MP thanked President Ruto for his commitment to delivering development projects in the region, noting that improved road infrastructure remains critical to supporting agriculture, trade and access to essential services.
The launch marks another significant milestone in ongoing efforts to improve road connectivity in Kitui County. Residents will now look forward to the completion of the project, which is expected to reduce transport challenges and support local economic growth.
