Kitui East MP hopeful Sammy Mutea has continued to strengthen his grassroots engagement after meeting boda boda leaders from different areas of the constituency to discuss local development and the welfare of young people.
The meeting brought together Kitui East Constituency Boda Association of Kenya Chairman Malusi, Zombe/Mwitika Ward Chairman Cheupe, Zombe Location Chairman John, and Kinyamasyo, who represents boda boda operators from Kanguu, Inyuu, Kwa Aombe, Kwa Amutei and Kitho in Chuluni Ward.
Discussions focused on matters affecting Kitui East, with particular attention to the youth fraternity and the role of boda boda operators in the local economy.
The engagement provided an opportunity for the leaders to share their views on the challenges facing young people and the issues affecting boda boda operators across the constituency.
Mutea’s continued consultations with grassroots leaders come as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 General Election, with youth empowerment and community development expected to remain key issues in Kitui East.
