As the race towards 2027 begins to take shape, one message is becoming clear among professionals and the people of Kitui — Kitui needs managers, not politicians.
Speaking today, the Lead Admin of the influential Kitui Professional Chat stated:
“Kitui needs a Governor like Malombe in 2027. Kitui needs managers, not politicians. I leave it at that.”
According to the Lead Admin, what Kitui has lacked for years is not politics, but management. The county is in dire need of a leader who understands development planning, prudent use of resources, systems, and results — the hallmarks of Governor Julius Malombe’s style of leadership.
“Politics ends after elections. What remains is management. How do you manage health, water, roads, ECDE, youth employment, and the county budget? That is not a political question, that is a managerial question. That is why we need a Malombe-type leader,” he said.
He noted that while politicians thrive on noise, division and empty promises, managers focus on delivery, discipline, and legacy. Under a manager-style governor, projects are completed, staff are motivated, and public funds are put to proper use.
“Look at what happens when a county is run like a political rally — chaos, insults, and zero development. But when a county is run like a serious institution, like Malombe does, you see order, development and respect,” he added.
He challenged the people of Kitui, especially the youth and professionals, to rise above clan and party politics in 2027 and choose competence over popularity.
“2027 is not about who shouts loudest. It is about who can manage Kitui’s future. We need a CEO, not a comedian. A manager, not a politician. I leave it at that.”
