UDA Kitui Central parliamentary hopeful Hon. Boniface Mutisya Musambi has stepped up his political mobilisation after hosting more than 1,000 United Democratic Alliance (UDA) delegates and key community representatives at KEFRI in Kitui Town. The gathering brought together grassroots leaders from Kitui Township Ward in what Musambi described as a strategic engagement to strengthen his vision for Kitui Central Constituency ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The meeting attracted an impressive lineup of political heavyweights, including Kitui South MP and UDA County Chair Hon. Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai, Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke, former Cabinet Secretary Peninah Malonza, Kitui Senator Beth Syengo, Commissioner Ben Muasya and former Kitui Central MP Hon. Joe Mutambu. Their presence gave the gathering considerable political significance as UDA continues positioning itself in the Ukambani region ahead of the next electoral contest.
Also present was Mose Munaa, the UDA candidate for Kitui Township MCA, alongside other leaders and community representatives. The engagement provided an opportunity for grassroots mobilisation, political networking and discussions around the future of Kitui Central, with Musambi seeking to consolidate support among party delegates and influential community voices.
Musambi, popularly known as Nzeve Nzau, has been building his political profile through community engagements and advocacy on development issues, including road infrastructure. His latest meeting signals an ambitious attempt to turn grassroots networks into a formidable political support base as he seeks the UDA ticket for the Kitui Central parliamentary seat.
With more than 1,000 delegates reportedly attending, the KEFRI gathering sends a strong political message about Musambi’s mobilisation ambitions. However, the bigger test will be whether the show of unity translates into votes during the UDA nomination contest, where he faces other political contenders seeking to represent the party in the 2027 General Election.
