CHULUNI, KITUI EAST — Friday, August 28, 2026: Kitui East MP aspirant Henry Nyamai, who also serves as the County Chief Officer for Environment and Natural Resources, accompanied Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe during a development tour of Chuluni Ward.
The tour highlighted a number of development projects across the ward, covering key sectors including health, water, roads, energy, education and trade.
Among the projects commissioned were the renovated Yanzuu Health Centre, Utwiini Borehole Water Project and Kanguu Dispensary. The team also inspected and commissioned road projects in Kanzauwu, Kitho and Inyuu, as well as the Kamaembe and Kivutini market sheds.
In the education sector, ECD classrooms at Katumbu Primary School and Kitho Primary School were commissioned, alongside the dining hall at Kanduti Vocational Training Centre.
Addressing residents during the tour, Nyamai reaffirmed his commitment to supporting improved service delivery and development across Chuluni Ward.
Residents, however, expressed disappointment over what they termed poor performance of the Kitui East Constituency Development Fund (CDF), calling for improved implementation of constituency-level development projects.
