Kitui West UDA parliamentary candidate Commissioner Ben Muasya has joined fellow United Democratic Alliance (UDA) leaders at Kanyangi Chief’s Camp in Kitui Rural for an empowerment and development programme hosted by Hon. John Kisangau, popularly known as Mbaki Mbaki.
The engagement brought together leaders and members of the community to discuss development priorities and explore practical interventions aimed at improving livelihoods. The programme provided an opportunity for residents to highlight some of the challenges affecting them while engaging leaders on possible solutions.
For Mbaki Mbaki, the gathering was more than an empowerment event, offering a platform to continue pushing for projects and interventions that directly respond to the needs of the people. The focus was placed on translating community concerns into tangible programmes capable of creating opportunities and improving household livelihoods.
Muasya’s participation further underlined the growing emphasis on grassroots engagement within the Kitui West political landscape as leaders position themselves ahead of the 2027 elections. The leaders used the occasion to emphasize the importance of working closely with communities in identifying development priorities, particularly in areas such as infrastructure, economic empowerment and access to opportunities.
The meeting comes as political leaders in Kitui increasingly intensify their grassroots engagements ahead of 2027. Under the message “Leadership That Delivers,” Muasya and his supporters are seeking to build a campaign around development, empowerment and direct engagement with residents, while Mbaki Mbaki continues to champion initiatives aimed at addressing local community needs.
