Proceed Without Fear’: Thousands Urge Christopher Nzilu Nzioka to Vie for Kitui Central MP Seat

Thousands of supporters on Friday converged at the Ithiani Village home of Kitui County Deputy Speaker and Kyangwithya West MCA, Christopher Nzilu Nzioka, in a massive political gathering that signaled growing support for his bid to become the next Member of Parliament for Kitui Central Constituency in the 2027 General Election.

The colorful homecoming ceremony brought together opinion leaders, residents, youth groups, women leaders and political allies drawn from all the five wards of the constituency, including Kyangwithya West, Kyangwithya East, Mulango, Kitui Township and Miambani wards.

Supporters urged the youthful leader to remain steadfast in his parliamentary quest, assuring him of their full backing ahead of the hotly anticipated 2027 race. Songs, dances and political chants filled the air as thousands praised his leadership record, accessibility to wananchi and commitment to unity and development across Kitui Central.

According to organizers, close to 6,000 people attended the event, making it one of the largest political gatherings witnessed in the constituency in recent months.

Speaking during the ceremony, several local leaders and residents described Hon. Nzilu as a focused and people-centered leader whose experience as both MCA and Deputy Speaker of the Kitui County Assembly has adequately prepared him for national leadership.

The event also featured special prayers and blessings from church leaders, who anointed the Deputy Speaker and prayed for his political journey ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Among leaders who attended the ceremony to show solidarity were Boniface Maundu Katumbi, Peter Mwanza and Prescilla Makumi.

Political observers say the huge turnout reflects the steadily rising popularity and influence of Hon. Christopher Nzilu Nzioka across Kitui Central, with many residents now viewing him as one of the strongest contenders for the parliamentary seat in 2027.

The gathering ended with renewed chants from supporters declaring him the “Incoming Member of Parliament, Kitui Central 2027.”
