Kitui Rural politics is beginning to take shape ahead of the 2027 General Election after a popular local political page officially endorsed Yatta Kwa Vonza MCA Mark Nding’o for the Kitui Rural parliamentary seat.
In a strongly worded endorsement statement released online, the page praised Nding’o’s leadership, consistency and development record in Yatta Kwa Vonza Ward, saying his performance had demonstrated his ability to deliver more if elected Member of Parliament.
The endorsement cited ongoing development initiatives in the ward, including infrastructure and water projects, arguing that the MCA has managed to place Yatta Kwa Vonza “on the national map” through active leadership and responsiveness to residents’ needs.
The statement further noted that many residents in Kitui Rural Constituency were looking for “a leader who will listen, act and work for the people,” adding that support for Nding’o’s higher political bid was steadily growing on the ground.
Although the MCA has not yet officially declared whether he will contest the Kitui Rural MP seat or seek re-election as ward representative, the endorsement suggested that chances of him vying for the parliamentary seat were higher.
The declaration now adds momentum to the early political realignments being witnessed in Kitui Rural as leaders position themselves ahead of the 2027 elections.
