Wiper Senatorial hopeful Dr. Stephen Mbaya Kimwele on Saturday joined family, friends, and residents of Miambani Ward in mourning the late Justus Malonza Kimanthi, popularly known as Councilor Kituti, during a burial ceremony held at Mikuyuni in Kitui Central Constituency. The late Kituti was remembered as a dedicated former councilor of Mutito who served his people with commitment and humility.
Speaking during the funeral service, Dr. Kimwele paid tribute to the late leader, describing him as a respected grassroots mobilizer whose leadership left a lasting impact on the people of Mutito and the larger Kitui community. He called on leaders and residents to uphold unity and continue championing development initiatives that uplift local communities.
The burial attracted political leaders, family members, and hundreds of mourners who gathered to celebrate the life and legacy of Councilor Kituti. Leaders present eulogized him as a man of wisdom, peace, and service, noting that his contribution to local leadership will continue to be remembered for generations.
