Residents of Kaunguni Village in Mukameni Ungaatu Nguuni, Kisasi Ward, have received a major boost in access to clean water following the equipping of the Kaunguni borehole by the County Government of Kitui through the Ministry of Water.

The project was officially commissioned by Kisasi Ward MCA Hon. Nicholas Mutemi, who reaffirmed his commitment to supporting development initiatives aimed at improving the living standards of residents across the ward. The borehole is expected to ease the long-standing water challenges that have affected families in the area for years.

Speaking during the event, residents expressed joy and gratitude, noting that many households had been forced to walk for more than ten kilometers in search of water or depend on unsafe dam water for drinking and domestic use. They said the newly equipped borehole will greatly reduce the burden on women and children while improving health and sanitation in the community.

Hon. Mutemi praised the County Government of Kitui and the Ministry of Water for prioritizing water access projects, saying the initiative demonstrates the countyโ€™s commitment to ensuring every household has access to safe and reliable water sources.Kisasi Ward Residents Get Relief as Kaunguni Borehole Equipped
