Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe today commissioned the renovated Kanyekini Dispensary in Kyome/Thaana Ward, Mwingi West Sub-county, marking another milestone in his administration’s efforts to improve healthcare services across the county.
Residents welcomed the healthcare project, noting that the upgraded facility will enhance access to quality medical services and reduce the distance patients travel in search of treatment. The renovation is expected to strengthen primary healthcare delivery and improve health outcomes for the local community.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor H.E. Wambua Kanani, County Executive Committee Members Ruth Koki and Phoebe Mutemi, Chief Officer Dr. Musyoka, and other senior county officials. Also present were Kyome/Thaana Ward MCA Alphonse Mukwaiyu, Nominated Representative Jacinta Mwoni, and other local leaders who praised the county government for prioritizing healthcare infrastructure development.
