Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna Presides Over Graduation of 300 ICT Students in Nguutani

Outstanding Mwingi West MP Charles Nguna on Saturday graced the first graduation ceremony of 300 students from the Nguutani ICT Hub who successfully completed digital skills training at the Nguutani ACC Office grounds. The graduates acquired marketable digital skills that will enable them to compete in the global digital economy and access online employment opportunities. Since its establishment, the ICT hubโ€”the only one of its kind in Kitui Countyโ€”has trained and graduated more than 1,600 students, positioning itself as a key driver of youth empowerment and digital transformation in the region.

During the event, Nguna reaffirmed his commitment to education, technology, and youth development, noting that equipping young people with digital skills is essential in creating employment opportunities and improving livelihoods. He lauded the graduates for their dedication and encouraged them to utilize their newly acquired knowledge to build sustainable careers.

The legislator also handed over office furniture to Nguutani Police Station to enhance service delivery and presented a cheque worth KSh 2.5 million to Nguutani Senior School for the construction of a principal’s house within the school compound. The event was attended by Kyome/Thaana MCA Hon. Alphonce Mukwayu, the Migwani Sub-County Deputy County Commissioner, members of the area administration, and local leaders.
