Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe today joined family members, friends, and leaders in celebrating the thanksgiving ceremony of Hon. Justice Francis Nyungu Kyambia following his recent appointment as a Judge of the High Court of Kenya.
The thanksgiving event brought together residents and leaders from across Kitui County in recognition of Justice Kyambia’s remarkable journey in the judiciary and his achievement in attaining one of the country’s highest judicial offices.
Justice Kyambia was officially sworn into office by President William Ruto on May 4, 2026, marking a major milestone in a judicial career that spans more than two decades of public service. His appointment reflects years of dedication and commitment within the country’s justice system.
Over the years, Justice Kyambia steadily rose through the ranks, beginning his judicial journey as a magistrate before advancing through different levels to become a High Court Judge. His career progression has been viewed by many as a testament to hard work, professionalism, and perseverance.
Speaking during the event, Governor Malombe congratulated Justice Kyambia on his appointment, describing it as a well-earned achievement that should inspire many young people across Kitui County and beyond.
The governor praised the judge’s commitment to justice and urged him to continue serving Kenyans with integrity, fairness, and dedication while upholding the principles of the Constitution and the rule of law.
He noted that leaders entrusted with public responsibilities have a duty to serve citizens diligently and ethically, adding that Justice Kyambia’s appointment was not only a personal victory but also a source of pride for the people of Kitui County.
The thanksgiving ceremony was first held at the GNCA Church before guests later proceeded to Justice Kyambia’s home in Syomithumo village in Mutomo/Kibwea Ward for further celebrations and interactions with family members and supporters.
The occasion attracted several political and community leaders who joined residents in celebrating the judicial milestone. Leaders present emphasized the importance of integrity and public service in national development.
Among the leaders who attended the event were Kitui County MP Dr. Irene Kasalu, Kitui South MP Dr. Kaki Nyamai, area MCA David Masaku, Woman Representative aspirant Jane Kibati, and other local leaders and residents.
