Kitui South MP Dr. Rachael Nyamai on Saturday hosted Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe alongside family members, friends, and local leaders during a thanksgiving ceremony held in honor of High Court Judge Hon. Justice Francis Nyungu Kyambia. The event brought together leaders and residents in celebrating Justice Kyambia’s recent elevation to the High Court bench.
Justice Kyambia was officially sworn into office by President William Ruto on May 4, 2026, marking a major milestone in a judicial career spanning more than two decades. Having steadily risen through the ranks of the judiciary, Justice Kyambia served in different capacities as a magistrate before earning his appointment as a Judge of the High Court of Kenya.
Speaking during the occasion, Governor Malombe congratulated Justice Kyambia on his appointment, describing it as a deserved recognition of his years of service, commitment, and professionalism in the judiciary. He urged the newly appointed judge to continue serving Kenyans with integrity, fairness, and dedication while upholding the principles of justice.
The thanksgiving ceremony was held at the GNCA Church before guests later proceeded to Justice Kyambia’s home in Syomithumo village, Mutomo/Kibwea Ward, where celebrations continued. The event attracted residents from across the region who joined the family in commemorating the achievement.
Among the leaders who attended the occasion were Kitui County MP Dr. Irene Kasalu, Kitui Central Mp Dr Makali Mulu, area MCA David Masaku, Woman Representative aspirant Jane Kibati, and several other local leaders. The gathering underscored the significance of Justice Kyambia’s appointment not only to his family but also to the wider Kitui community.
