Kitui West parliamentary aspirant Commissioner Ben Muasya hosted more than 7,000 residents at Katutu Comprehensive School grounds in Kauwi Ward for a major public engagement and empowerment forum that brought together Kenya Kwanza leaders to rally support for President William Ruto ahead of the 2027 General Election. The event attracted a large crowd from across the constituency, underscoring the growing political activity in the region.
The forum was led by Kitui South MP Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai and attended by several Kenya Kwanza leaders, who urged residents to remain united behind the government’s development agenda. The leaders emphasized the importance of working closely with the national government to accelerate infrastructure, education, water, and economic development projects in Kitui West.
Addressing the gathering, Commissioner Ben Muasya said the empowerment forum was designed to strengthen public participation while educating residents on the benefits of supporting the national government. He thanked the thousands of residents who turned up, describing the attendance as a clear demonstration of confidence in the Kenya Kwanza leadership.
Muasya told the crowd that the people of Kitui West had become more informed about the importance of aligning with the national government. “I am glad that our people are now enlightened. There is no glory in remaining in opposition. When we support the national government, we reap development for our people,” he said.
The parliamentary hopeful reaffirmed his commitment to backing President William Ruto’s re-election bid in 2027, arguing that remaining within government provides the best opportunity to lobby for development projects and improve the livelihoods of Kitui West residents. He maintained that the constituency stands to benefit more through constructive engagement with the national administration.
Dr. Rachael Kaki Nyamai echoed the same message, calling on residents to continue supporting President Ruto and Kenya Kwanza leaders. She said unity and collaboration with the national government would enhance service delivery and ensure more government projects are implemented across Kitui County.
The empowerment and public engagement forum concluded with leaders urging residents to maintain peace, participate actively in development initiatives, and prepare for the 2027 General Election. The event also served as a platform for Kenya Kwanza leaders to consolidate support in Kitui West while reaffirming their commitment to championing the constituency’s development agenda through continued partnership with the national government.
