Dr Irene Kasalu is not just leading the WIPER Party gubernatorial race in Kitui, she is steamrolling the competition, crushing her rivals with yet another landslide poll victory.
The latest online StrawPoll is just another trophy on Kasalu’s shelf, her third straight poll where she leaves the rest gasping for air. Hot on the heels of the InfoTrak scientific poll that also crowned her the people’s choice, Kasalu’s momentum is now a political freight train barreling toward 2027.
*With 670 votes in and the clock ticking down, Kasalu had already pocketed 391 votes, an iron grip on 58.36 percent of the tally.*
Her closest challenger, Dr Makali Mulu, attracted 178 votes (26.57 per cent), while Senator Enock Kiio came third with 101 votes (15.07 per cent).

If the poll had slammed shut right then, Kasalu would have walked away with a clean majority. For Makali to even sniff a tie, he’d need 213 miracle votes with Kasalu frozen in place. Kiio? He’d need 290 an impossible mountain to climb.
