Leaders allied to Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka have officially launched a countywide civic education campaign in Kitui aimed at strengthening the party and mobilizing i ahead of the 2027 General Election. The initiative, branded “Linda Kitui, Linda Kenya” (Protect Kitui, Protect Kenya), seeks to educate wananchi on their civic responsibilities while reinforcing the party’s grassroots structures across the county.
The campaign was flagged off by Kitui deputy speaker And Kyangwithya west MCA Christopher Nzilu Nzioka, who said the programme is focused on empowering residents with knowledge about governance, leadership, and the electoral process. He noted that civic education is essential in promoting informed decision-making and ensuring citizens actively participate in shaping the county’s and the country’s future.
According to Nzilu, the initiative will involve extensive grassroots engagements across all wards in Kitui County, where residents will be sensitized on the importance of peaceful elections, national unity, and democratic participation. He emphasized that the campaign is also intended to strengthen the Wiper Party by expanding its support base and preparing supporters well ahead of the 2027 General Election.
The MCA further urged residents to embrace the campaign and remain united in safeguarding the interests of Kitui County and the nation. He said the “Linda Kitui, Linda Kenya” message reflects the need for responsible leadership, peaceful coexistence, and active citizen participation in protecting democratic gains and promoting sustainable development.
The launch marks the beginning of what Wiper leaders describe as a sustained countywide mobilization drive that will feature civic education forums, public engagements, and community outreach activities. Party officials say the campaign is expected to play a key role in consolidating support for Wiper while encouraging peaceful, informed, and issue-based political participation ahead of the 2027 elections.
