Senator Kimwele Joins Malombe in Nuu Ward Projects Tour as County Steps Up Development Drive

Incoming Kitui Senator and County Executive Committee Member for Agriculture, Dr. Stephen Mbaya Kimwele, on Friday accompanied Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe, EGH, during an extensive projects commissioning and inspection tour in Nuu Ward, Mwingi Central Constituency.The tour saw the Governor commission and inspect several key development projects aimed at improving the delivery of essential services to residents. Among the projects visited were the Yatwa Secondary School Laboratory, Kalumani/Kwakuli (Ngangani) Borehole and Pipeline Extension, Kathanze Health Centre, Nuu Level IV Hospital and the Mutyangome Dispensary Maternity Unit.The projects reflect the County Government of Kitui’s continued investment in critical sectors including education, healthcare and water. The borehole and pipeline extension is expected to strengthen access to clean and reliable water, while the health facilities and maternity unit are set to enhance access to healthcare services closer to residents.Dr. Kimwele’s participation in the tour underscored his continued engagement in development initiatives across Kitui County as he prepares to seek the Senate seat. His presence alongside Governor Malombe also highlighted the importance of collaboration between county leadership and local communities in identifying and implementing projects that respond to residents’ needs.The Nuu Ward tour comes as the county government continues to roll out development projects across the county, with Governor Malombe emphasizing the need to improve public services and infrastructure. The projects are expected to benefit residents of Nuu Ward and the wider Mwingi Central Constituency by expanding access to education facilities, healthcare services, clean water and other essential amenities.
