MUMBUNI, MWINGI WEST – Mwingi West MP Charles Ngusya Nguna (CNN) has reaffirmed his commitment to accelerating development in the constituency, citing close collaboration with the national government as a key driver of ongoing projects.
Speaking during a public engagement and empowerment forum held at Mumbuni Primary School grounds, Nguna highlighted the construction of the Kwa Siku–Mbondoni Road as one of the flagship projects transforming the constituency. He said the project reflects the tangible benefits of cooperation between local leaders and the national government.
The legislator noted that the partnership had unlocked more development opportunities for Mwingi West, pledging to continue lobbying for projects that improve infrastructure, create economic opportunities, and enhance the livelihoods of residents.
Nguna also congratulated the County Assembly of Kitui following the appointment of former Migwani MCA Harrison Maluki as the substantive Clerk of the Kitui County Assembly, describing the appointment as well deserved.
Residents who attended the event applauded Nguna’s leadership and praised President William Ruto’s administration for supporting development initiatives in the area. They also expressed their support for continued collaboration between the constituency leadership and the national government as development efforts gather momentum.
The forum brought together several national and county leaders, including Kitui South MP Rachael Kaki Nyamai, Principal Secretary Jonathan Mueke, former Cabinet Secretary Peninah Malonza, Senator Beth Syengo, and Kitui County Assembly Speaker Kevin Kinengo. Also in attendance were Hon. Mbaki Mbaki, Hon. Boniface Musambi, Hon. Martha Mati, Hon. Charles Mwalimu, and several Members of the County Assembly.
