Decorated Nairobi-based businessman and accomplished radio and television personality Alex Mutual Musomba has declared his intention to support incumbent MP Joshua Kimilu in the 2027 General Election, while revealing plans to contest the parliamentary seat in 2032.
Musomba made the announcement while outlining his long-term political ambitions, making it clear that he does not intend to challenge Kimilu in the 2027 race. Instead, he plans to rally behind the incumbent MP before seeking to make his own entry into elective politics five years later.
“2027 twisakua Joshua Kimilu naindi 2032 aindiya kivila kya MP,” Musomba said, signalling his decision to support Kimilu in 2027 before pursuing the parliamentary seat in 2032.
The declaration positions Musomba as a long-term political player who is opting for a gradual approach rather than an immediate confrontation. His experience and visibility in Kenya’s radio and television space have given him a significant public profile, which he could seek to translate into political influence as he prepares for the future contest.
For now, Musomba’s focus remains on the 2027 election and supporting Joshua Kimilu. However, his announcement has already placed his name in the long-term political conversation, with 2032 emerging as the year he intends to pursue his own parliamentary ambitions.
