Kitui County Deputy Governor H.E. Wambua Kanani joined other WIPER Patriotic Front elected leaders from the Mount Kenya South region in a political engagement aimed at strengthening ties with the region ahead of the 2027 General Elections.
The delegation paid a courtesy visit to Wamunyoro Residency in Nyeri County, where they held discussions with DCP Leader Hon. Rigathi Gachagua. The leaders later proceeded to Karatina Town, where they addressed residents on the emerging political landscape and called for greater unity among Kenyans.
The engagements are part of growing efforts by WIPER Patriotic Front leaders to build strategic political partnerships across regions and strengthen their political base ahead of the 2027 polls. The leaders are seeking closer engagement with the vote-rich Mount Kenya bloc while promoting a broader national political alliance anchored on unity, inclusivity and equitable development.
As political realignments intensify ahead of the 2027 General Elections, the Mount Kenya South outreach signals growing interest among opposition formations in building cross-regional partnerships.
The emerging alliances are expected to shape Kenya’s political landscape as leaders seek to forge a formidable national coalition capable of influencing the country’s political future.
