Kitui West MP hopeful Benedict Muasya on Sunday joined worshippers at AIC Kitundumo in Mutonguni Ward, where he delivered 50 mattresses to the Kitundumo District Church Council (DCC).
The mattresses will serve four churches under the DCC—Kitundumo, Ikuni, Musyini and Iani—supporting youth holiday camps and providing better accommodation facilities for young people participating in the programmes.
The initiative is expected to create a more conducive environment for youth to gather, learn, reflect, grow in faith and develop values that can positively shape their future.
Speaking during the occasion, Muasya said leadership should go beyond addressing immediate needs and focus on investing in the next generation. He emphasized the importance of creating spaces where young people can access faith, mentorship, discipline and a sense of purpose.
Muasya noted that supporting youth programmes is not merely about providing facilities but also about helping build a responsible and principled generation capable of carrying forward the aspirations of their communities.
His latest contribution adds to his growing public engagements across Kitui West as he seeks to position himself as a leader focused on community development, youth empowerment and faith-based initiatives ahead of the 2027 elections.
Muasya said the future of communities will ultimately depend on how well the current generation invests in and prepares young people for leadership and responsibility.
