Kitui South MP Dr. Racheal Nyamai, alongside fellow broad-based leaders, on Sunday inspected the ongoing construction of the Ikutha-Kanziko-Mutha Road to assess the progress of the major infrastructure project.
The leaders expressed satisfaction with the work being undertaken, noting that the project is steadily taking shape and is expected to transform connectivity across Kitui South once completed.
The Ikutha-Kanziko-Mutha Road is considered a vital transport link for residents, farmers, traders and other road users in the region. Its completion is expected to make movement of people and goods easier and more efficient.
For farmers, the improved road network will provide better access to markets, helping reduce transportation challenges and creating opportunities for increased trade and agricultural productivity.
The project is also expected to stimulate economic growth by opening up previously hard-to-reach areas, strengthening connections between communities and improving access to essential services across Kitui South and the wider Kitui County.
