Dr. Augustus Kyalo Muli, leader of the National Liberal Party, secured a significant victory in the secret ballot election held by the IEBC selection panel today. Garnering 16 votes against his opponent Koki Muli Grignon, who received 7 votes, Dr. Muli was elected at the Kyaka Hotel in Machakos County.
In his address to the press, Dr. Muli, who also serves as the Anzauni National clan patron, expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him by his colleagues and supporters. “I am deeply honoured to have been elected to the position of the IEBC Selection Panel in the Political Parties Liaison Elections held today in Machakos. Your support has been instrumental in this achievement, and I am committed to serving with integrity and dedication,” he stated
Dr. Muli also extended his appreciation to his competitor, Madam Koki, acknowledging her spirited campaign and contributions to the democratic process. “Her contributions have enriched this election, and I look forward to working together for the betterment of our community,” he remarked.
The newly elected panel member concluded by urging collaboration towards achieving shared goals, highlighting his commitment to integrity and dedication in his new role.
