In a momentous event that brought together key Lions Clubs from across the region, Hon. Enoch Kiio Wambua, CBS, was officially inaugurated as the President of the 64th Lions Club in District 411A, LIONS CLUB KITUI GREATER.
The ceremony saw the participation of prominent Lions Clubs, including Riverside, Lavington, Nairobi Central, and the Kiima Kimwe Lions Club of Machakos, highlighting the unity and collaboration within the Lions community.
In his acceptance speech, Senator Wambua expressed his commitment to the Lions Club’s global mission, pledging to establish a strong foundation for future leaders and steer the LIONS CLUB KITUI GREATER chapter toward impactful service to humanity. He emphasized the core values of Lions Club International, which are centered on the Five Pillars of Service: Vision, Hunger, Diabetes, Cancer, and Environment.
“As we begin this new chapter, we dedicate ourselves to addressing some of the most pressing challenges in our communities. Together, we will make a profound and positive impact,” stated Wambua, setting an ambitious and hopeful tone for his tenure.
The event symbolized not only a new era for Kitui County but also reinforced the shared vision and sense of purpose among the Lions Clubs as they continue their tireless dedication to community service and philanthropy.
