MUTOMO– Hundreds of residents from Kitui South gathered at the Mutomo Huduma Centre hall to participate in a public forum on the Kitui County Finance Bill 2024/25.
The forum, which drew attendees from Mutha, Kanziku, Mutomo, Ikutha, Athi, and Ikanga wards, provided an opportunity for the community to engage with government officials and share their views on the proposed financial plans.
The event was led by Acting Director Madam Rosylene Kavata, alongside Kitui South MCA Hussein Mwandia, Sub county admin Madam Ngalai and other senior government officials.
Participants were given a platform to voice their opinions on various proposals within the bill, most of which received widespread approval from the community.During the session, residents expressed optimism about the county’s financial future, noting that many of the bill’s provisions addressed their pressing concerns. Key areas of interest included infrastructure development, healthcare funding, and agricultural support.
Officials acknowledged the importance of the feedback received, stating that the public’s input would play a critical role in refining the final version of the finance bill.
