Kitui, June 13, 2024 – The community of kitui is mourning the loss of Mzee Mutemi Ngunzu, the beloved father of Hon. Mutemi. Mzee Ngunzu passed away on Tuesday, June 11th, while receiving care at Kitui Referral Hospital. He was 96 years old.
Hon. Mutemi, along with his family and the entire county assembly, are grieving this profound loss. As a well-respected community leader and patriarch, Mzee Ngunzu left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
In a heartfelt message, Hon. Mutemi expressed deep sorrow over his father’s passing and thanked God for blessing the family with Mzee Ngunzu’s long and fulfilling life. He noted that his father was not only a cherished parent and grandfather but also a pillar in the community.
To honor Mzee Ngunzu’s memory, a burial ceremony is planned for Friday, June 28th. In preparation for the sendoff, a special chat room has been created to coordinate efforts.
