Kitui, July 2, 2024 — The Kitui County Assembly conducted the first reading of the Kitui County Alcoholic Drinks Control (Amendment) Bill, 2023, in today’s afternoon plenary sitting. This Bill aims to amend the existing Kitui County Alcoholic Drinks Control Act of 2014 to ensure its complete and effective implementation.
Following the first reading, the Bill was forwarded to the Committee on Administration and Coordination of County Affairs for further consideration and review. The session was presided over by Hon. Paul Maluki, the representative for Kithumula/Kwa Mutonga.
