Kitui East MP Nimrod Mbai has been proposed to replace Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki. This comes after Prof. Kindiki was nominated for the position of Deputy President following the Senate’s impeachment of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Mbai’s appointment to the powerful Interior Ministry would place him at the helm of national security and internal affairs if confirmed.
