Kitui Member of County assembly representing Yatta Kwa Vonza Hon. Mark Nding’o has criticized the ongoing abductions of young people terming the practice as a violation of human rights.
“The security officers should arrest the youth instead of abducting them. Abduction is an affront to human rights and a primitive, desperate measure that will only embolden the youth,” said Hon. Nding’o.
He urged the government to address root causes such as unemployment, lack of accountability, and corruption, which he identified as key factors fueling discontent among the youth.
Hon. Nding’o called for immediate action to protect human rights and promote constructive solutions to the challenges facing young people in the country.
