In a step toward addressing water scarcity in the region, Kwa Vonza MCA Mark Ndingo recently held a consultative meeting with the Kyainya community, Milicons Limited, and the Urgent Action Africa team at Kyainya Market, Ilika location. The primary focus of the meeting was to discuss and establish the modalities and timelines for drilling a borehole to serve the local community.
During the meeting, community members expressed their urgent need for a reliable water source, highlighting the challenges they face due to inadequate water supply. MCA Mark Ndingo assured the community of his commitment to ensuring the project is completed efficiently and effectively.
Representatives from Milicons Limited and Urgent Action Africa provided insights into the technical and logistical aspects of the project, outlining the steps needed to commence drilling operations. The collaborative efforts aim to ensure that the borehole will be operational as soon as possible, providing much-needed relief to the residents of Kyainya.
The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement on the project timelines and an emphasis on community involvement throughout the process. The initiative is expected to significantly improve the quality of life for the Kyainya community by providing a consistent and safe water supply.
