Official Launch of Kanziko Kangu Kangu Water satellite Project
Kanziko Town, Kitui County— A significant milestone was achieved for the residents of Kitui South as the highly anticipated Kanziko Kangu Kangu water project was officially launched yesterday.
The ceremony was attended by a host of dignitaries, including MCA Kimuli, County Water Director Eng. Kennedy Mutati representing CECM Mr. Nkunda, and Chief Officer Nathan Vungo. Sub-county Water Officer John Ngiti and a team from World Vision led by Gilbert Kimani and Eng. Kevin Muche also graced the occasion.
This transformative project, championed by Governor Dr. Julius Makau Malombe EGH, MCA Kimuli, and supported by CECM Hon. Nkunda and Chief Officer Dr. Nathan Vungo, is a joint effort between World Vision and the County Government of Kitui. It represents a significant step in addressing the persistent water scarcity in the region.
The launch was met with enthusiastic celebrations from the local residents. They praised the leaders and the implementing agencies for their relentless efforts in realizing this project and expressed immense gratitude and joy on behalf of the community.
Upon completion, the Kanziko Kangu Kangu water project will provide a reliable water supply to the following areas:
– Mwanianga
– Muthue
– Mwangala
– Vutu
– Ekani/Simisi
– Kanziko Town
– Kituvwi
Moreover, nearby community facilities, including schools and hospitals, will benefit significantly from the project’s completion. This development is expected to enhance the quality of life for residents, improve educational and health outcomes, and stimulate economic activities in the region.
