The Katoo Sand Dam in Enziu village, Twambui sublocation, has officially been completed, marking a significant achievement in water conservation efforts for the community.
Funded by the Kitui County Government under the leadership of Governor Julius Makau Malombe, EGH, and supported by the area County Assembly Representative, the project promises to bolster water availability for residents.
Hon. Erustus Mbuno, MCA for Endau Malalani, praised Governor Malombe’s administration for prioritizing such projects, noting that sand dams are a valuable resource for water storage in the arid regions of his ward.
The Katoo Sand Dam is expected to improve water access and benefit the local agricultural activities, enhancing resilience in the face of frequent droughts.
