Yatta Kwa Vonza Ward MCA Ndingo has publicly endorsed Kalonzo Musyoka’s decision to resist joining the Kenya Kwanza government, a move strongly advocated by ODM leadership. Speaking on Mwatu FM, Ndingo emphasized the necessity for the government to adhere to existing commission reports and constitutional guidelines rather than forming additional task forces.
Reflecting on his tenure, Ndingo proudly outlined his track record, stating that over the past year, his administration has successfully delivered more than four projects in every village across the six administrative units in Yatta Kwa Vonza Ward. These projects include the establishment of water facilities, market shades, ECDE classrooms, health centers, and mortuary centers, totaling over 35 significant initiatives within the last financial year.
Looking ahead to the 2024/25 financial year, Ndingo shared ambitious plans for further development in Kwa Vonza Ward. Key projects include:
- Kanyonyoo Agrigation Pack: Expected to cost over 500 million KES.
- Tarmacking of Kiuasyani Road: Allocated 60 million KES.
- Upgrade of Kiuasyani Hospital: Plans to elevate it to a level four hospital.
- CLIDP Projects: Numerous projects to be undertaken within the financial year.
- ECDE Expansion: Construction of more than four ECDE classrooms, building on Kitui County’s pioneering initiative to hire ECDE teachers on a permanent basis.
In addition to these projects, the government under the leadership of Governor Dr. Julius Makau Malombe is set to hire community health promoters. The county government will also grade 70 kilometers of roads in every ward, with Kwa Vonza Ward benefiting significantly from this program.
Water development remains a priority for the ward. Ndingo revealed plans for additional subwells to address water scarcity. Furthermore, the ward has already seen the implementation of market street lighting (Mlika Mwizi) projects, with more centers planned for the coming year.
MCA Ndingo’s proactive and transparent approach aims to enhance the quality of life for residents and ensure sustained development in Yatta Kwa Vonza Ward.
