MCA Ndingo Praises Youth, Urges Continued Advocacy and Support for Kalonzo Musyoka

Mwatu FM, Saturday Morning – Yatta Kwa Vonza MCA, Ndingo, expressed his strong support for the youth, particularly Generation Z (Gen Z), during a morning talk show on Mwatu FM. He commended their efforts in standing up for their country, highlighting that they accomplished what many elected leaders couldn’t. He encouraged them to persist in their advocacy.

MCA Ndingo also called on the government to address the pressing issue of unemployment among the Kenyan populace. He emphasized the importance of youth engagement in politics by urging Gen Z to register as voters, thereby empowering them to make a significant impact in the next election.

Furthermore, Ndingo showed unwavering support for Kalonzo Musyoka, urging the Kamba community to rally behind him. He commented on Musyoka’s decision not to join the Kenya Kwanza government, aligning himself with the majority of the people and Gen Z who oppose this move. He advocated for the implementation of existing commission reports and adherence to the constitution, rather than creating additional task forces.

Highlighting his achievements, MCA Ndingo noted that his administration had successfully delivered more than four projects in every village within Yatta Kwa Vonza Ward. This includes the establishment of six administrative units, water projects, market shades, Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) classes, health centers, and mortuary centers. In the last financial year, over 35 veritable projects were completed in the ward.

Looking ahead, Ndingo outlined ambitious plans for the 2024/25 financial year. Key projects include:

  • Kanyonyoo Aggregation Park: Estimated cost over KES 500 million.
  • Tarmacking of Kiuasyani Road: Estimated cost KES 60 million.
  • Kiuasyani Hospital Upgrade: Upgrading to a Level 4 hospital.
  • CLIDP Projects: Additional projects to be completed within the year.
  • ECDE Expansion: More than four new ECDE centers to be established.
  • Permanent Hiring of ECDE Teachers: Kitui was the first county to hire ECDE teachers on a permanent basis, with plans to hire more in the upcoming year.

Under the leadership of Governor Dr. Julius Makau Malombe, the county government will also hire community health promoters and grade 70 kilometers of roads in every ward, with Kwa Vonza Ward benefiting significantly.

Water Development and Infrastructure Improvements

Ndingo emphasized that water development remains a priority for Yatta Kwa Vonza Ward. Plans include the construction of additional sub-wells to address ongoing water challenges. The ward has also seen improvements in market street lighting (Mlika Mwizi), with existing centers being upgraded and more to be established in the coming financial year.

In summary, MCA Ndingo’s interview on Mwatu FM highlighted his administration’s achievements and outlined a comprehensive plan for continued development and community support in Yatta Kwa Vonza Ward.
