On June 18, 2024 – Hon. Zacchaeus Syengo, representing Voo/Kyamatu and serving as the Chairperson for the Committee on County Budget and Appropriations, presented the committee’s report on the Kitui County Budget Estimates for the Financial Year 2024/2025.
The report was tabled in accordance with Section 131(1) of the Public Finance Management Act, 2012, and Standing Order No. 179(6).The session was chaired by Hon. Paul Maluki, the representative for Kithumula/Kwa Mutonga.
The tabling of this report marks a significant step in the county’s fiscal planning process, outlining key budgetary allocations and financial plans for the upcoming year. The report is expected to detail the county’s priorities and strategies for economic development, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and other critical sectors.
Members of the County Assembly will now deliberate on the proposed budget, with a focus on ensuring the efficient and equitable allocation of resources to meet the needs of Kitui residents.
