Kitui South MP Dr. Rachael Nyamai and Kitui Governor Dr. Julius Malombe joined other political leaders for a meeting with the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) in Nairobi to address persistent border conflicts between Kitui and Tana River counties.
The meeting focused on finding sustainable solutions to the skirmishes that have resulted in loss of life and property. NCIC Chairperson Dr. Rev. Samuel Kobia reaffirmed the commission’s commitment to resolving boundary disputes, promoting disarmament in game reserves, and fostering peace-building initiatives.
The session brought together MPs Dr. Makali Mulu, Charles Nguna, Dr. Gedion Mulyungi, and Eng. Paul Nzengu, along with Kitui Deputy Governor Augustine Kanani and county security officials.This follows previous NCIC visits to the affected areas and meetings with local security teams.///_
