A highly successful fundraiser held at the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) Kitui Township saw over Ksh 12 million raised to support the construction of a new cathedral. The event brought together influential leaders, community members, and well-wishers, all united in their effort to support the church’s project.
Key figures in attendance included Mr. Nicholas Mulila, Charity Ngilu, Hon. Joseph Musyoka (also known as Mamen), and Dr. Vincent Munywoki.
Mr. Mulila being the Chief guest had over 150 friends and supporters, all contributing to the significant success of the fundraiser.
Mr. Mulila, a highly respected corporate administrator, emphasized the vital role of the church in fostering a strong family and societal foundation. He further assured attendees that he would work alongside other leaders and well-placed individuals at the national level to form strategic partnerships and bring meaningful development to Kitui County.
Former Governor Charity Ngilu, while commending Mulila for his impactful contributions to education, healthcare, and the church, encouraged him to leverage his connections to lobby for additional projects for Kitui County. Ngilu lauded his efforts, particularly his donations to local health institutions.
A notable delegation from Mutomo and Ikutha traveled to the event in support of Mulila, expressing gratitude for his recent donation of medical equipment worth Ksh 17 million to Mutomo Mission and Ikutha Level 4 hospitals through the Safaricom Foundation.
Mulila’s growing influence has sparked widespread interest, with many seeing him as a top contender for the Kitui County gubernatorial seat in the 2027 elections. As he continues to demonstrate his commitment to community development, his leadership remains a force to watch.
