peaking at State House, Nairobi, during the swearing-in ceremony of Mutahi Kagwe, Hon. William Kabogo Gitau, and Lee Kinyanjui, the President emphasized their critical role in accelerating service delivery and advancing the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BET-A).
“These distinguished leaders bring to the Cabinet the stamina and wealth of experience in public service that Kenya needs to achieve its development objectives. Their proven leadership skills and capabilities will steer our country toward the transformation we envision,” said President Ruto.
The swearing-in ceremony, attended by senior government officials and other dignitaries, marked the official assumption of office by the three appointees. The President expressed optimism that their appointment would invigorate the Cabinet with fresh perspectives and innovative approaches to governance.
Mutahi Kagwe, a former Health Cabinet Secretary, is renowned for his steadfast leadership in managing public health crises. Hon. William Kabogo Gitau, a seasoned politician and former governor, is expected to bring a pragmatic approach to policy implementation, while Lee Kinyanjui, also a former governor, is praised for his visionary development strategies.
The new Cabinet Secretaries pledged to work diligently to fulfill their mandates and deliver on the government’s promise to uplift the lives of Kenyans.
This appointment comes at a critical time as the government seeks to enhance economic recovery, improve service delivery, and implement key development programs under the BET-A framework.
