Yesterday, young people identifying as Gen Z wreaked havoc across the county with demonstrations demanding the withdrawal of the Finance Bill, which was adopted by Members of Parliament during its third reading. The protests, marked by widespread unrest and disruption, reflect the growing frustration among Kenyans over the proposed fiscal measures.
Senator Kilonzo, addressing the media, emphasized the importance of the government responding to the voices of its citizens. “The people of Kenya have spoken loudly and clearly. It is imperative that President Ruto listens to their concerns instead of being swayed by self-serving advisors. Our priority should be the welfare of Kenyans,” Kilonzo stated.
